These initial terms govern use of TradesTrust. By accepting them when creating a profile, requesting service, or posting a review, you agree to these terms and the Community rules. Material changes will require renewed acceptance where appropriate. Applicable consumer rights are not waived.
Who may use the service
Account holders and customers submitting requests must be 18 or older. Teen enrollment is not available. Do not create accounts for children or misrepresent your age or identity. Account identities are supplied by our authentication services; this is not a background check, verification of job intent, or confirmation of a customer relationship.
What TradesTrust provides
TradesTrust provides a directory, service requests, customer job posts, shared job discussions, and private customer–provider conversations for independent service providers. Providers decide whether to accept requests and share their contact details. Profiles, posts, jobs, reviews, and requests appear without prior approval and remain subject to moderation. Listings do not verify licensing, insurance, qualifications, business ownership, identity documents, or safety. We do not supervise jobs, inspect workmanship, guarantee outcomes, or process job payments.
Job agreements and responsibilities
Customers and providers agree directly on scope, price, scheduling, payment, permits, licensing, insurance, and warranties. Put those agreements in writing before work begins. Each party remains responsible for its own conduct and legal obligations. Providers must only offer work they are qualified and legally permitted to perform. TradesTrust does not create an employment, agency, or partnership relationship with providers merely by listing them.
Contact access and prohibited use
Contact details are private by default. A provider may release details to a customer after accepting a request or in an eligible job conversation. Customers may opt to share a job phone number with all eligible active pros viewing their open job, or with an individual pro in a private conversation. Job posts and shared discussions are visible to eligible active pros and the posting customer; they are not public contact directories. Access is for that job only. Scraping, compiling directories of private contact details, lead selling, unsolicited marketing, impersonation, harassment, threats, account evasion, and automated bulk requests are prohibited. We may screen, refuse, limit, suspend, or remove access under the Community rules.
Reviews and uploaded content
Submit only truthful reviews reflecting your experience and photos you own or are permitted to share. Do not publish customer addresses, private contact information, license plates, identifiable people without permission, or sensitive documents. You retain ownership of your content and grant TradesTrust permission to store, display, and process it as necessary to provide and moderate the service. We may remove rule violations, but legitimate negative reviews are not prohibited.
Disputes, safety, and emergencies
Use the report controls or Support & appeals page for site misconduct. Job disputes should first be addressed with the provider or customer. Nothing here prevents contacting regulators, law enforcement, insurers, or pursuing legal remedies. This service is not an emergency response system. Call appropriate emergency services when needed.
Limits and applicable law
To the extent permitted by applicable law, the service is provided as available without guarantees of availability, completeness, provider performance, or successful moderation. To the extent lawful, TradesTrust disclaims implied warranties and liability for indirect or consequential losses from use of the service. These terms do not eliminate liability that cannot lawfully be limited, excuse our own legal obligations, or guarantee protection from lawsuits. A provider’s obligations to its customer remain governed by their job agreement and applicable law.
